4TH NATIONAL "PUEBLOS MÁGICOS" FAIR
Monterrey, N.L. - The 4th edition of the National "Pueblos Mágicos" Fair was held in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, from September 22 to 24, 2017 at Cintermex. This event was born in 2001, seeking to promote the complementary tourism offer for the interior of the country, which enhances the historical and cultural attributes of different destinations in the country.
The main objectives of this Fair are:
To promote the richness of its tourist offer (crafts, folklore, gastronomy, tourist packages) to the general public, visitors and wholesale professionals.
The possibility of marketing/acquiring the destination's products.
To update attendees and institutions involved in the administration of the "pueblos mágicos" and to share best practices.
These destinations, upon obtaining the denomination of "Pueblo Mágico", become part of a great family of attractions that represent Mexico as a whole, that is, its gastronomy, traditions, history, emblems, tangible and intangible heritage that characterize and distinguish each of the 111 current "Pueblos Mágicos".
These towns recognize tourism as an activity that promotes development, well-being, employment opportunities, encouragement and makes investment profitable. In this way, they take advantage of the resources and attractions of each destination, promoting the conservation and pride in the country's heritage.
The National "Pueblos Mágicos" Fair s was the second most important event for the sector at the national level, after the Tianguis Turístico, where over three days the 111 Pueblos Mágicos of the country and their respective mayors and committee presidents met in one place.
